Who was
Jan Amos Komenský?
Jan Amos Komenský · Comenius · 1592–1670
Jan Amos Komenský, known in Spanish as Comenio, was a Moravian thinker and educator. He championed education open to everyone and teaching that helped people understand the world, rather than simply memorise words.
His approach gave the senses a central role: observing, listening and engaging directly with things to build knowledge. Learning was to follow a gradual path, in keeping with each person's development.
Today, we find in this legacy an invitation to educate with care, curiosity and respect.

This is our educational interpretation of that legacy. At Komensky, academic learning is in dialogue with theatre, music, literature and English. We aim to give every student the opportunity to ask questions, create, listen and share what they discover.
Peru and the Czech Republic
