Theatrical expression as a way of learning

In our own theatre, learning also means stepping into someone else's shoes. Early Years, Primary and Secondary students take part in age-appropriate productions: exploring a character, rehearsing a scene and bringing a play to life together.

At Komensky, we see the stage as a place for learning. We do not expect everyone to become an actor; we offer opportunities to speak with confidence, listen attentively and take on shared responsibility.

Music, singing and movement

Music education develops progressively. Exploring instruments, rhythm and singing encourages attentive listening and sensitivity. Instruments and experiences are offered according to the stage and school programme.

Dance and movement complement this experience: the body is also a way to communicate. Every student finds opportunities to participate without needing to be an experienced performer.

Literature, poetry and Libro Comenius

A book begins long before its first page: with a question, an image, something worth telling. Through Libro Comenius, each student develops a work of their own: researching, writing, designing and presenting. Imagination finds a path through effort and perseverance.

Reading and poetry open a conversation with other perspectives. Learning to express an idea of our own also means reading, revising, receiving feedback and trying again.

Radio Komensky

Scripts, presenting and interviews offer another setting for communication. Radio work encourages students to organise ideas, ask questions and listen with purpose.
